Enhancements
Backup and Restore of Entra ID Users and Groups
- 365 Total Backup now supports backing up and restoring Entra ID users and groups, including their metadata and relationships to other Entra ID entities.
- Administrators can fully restore one, multiple, or all Entra ID users and groups:
- Directly to Entra ID within the same Microsoft 365 organization or
- By exporting the data as a ZIP archive containing JSON files.
- During the assisted restore process, the system automatically generates and displays the following elements when these already exist in Entra ID at the time of restore.:
- User Principal Names (UPNs) for users
- group nicknames for groups
- Automatically generated UPNs and group nicknames can be reviewed and manually edited by administrators as part of the restore workflow.
- For restored Entra ID users, a new password is automatically generated during the restore process and can be manually changed or re-generated as needed.
Backup Pilot for Entra ID Users and Groups
- The new Backup Pilot improves how 365 Total Backup automatically handles newly discovered workloads.
- Administrators can now granularly define which newly discovered workloads are included in automatic backups.
- This configuration applies to workloads such as Mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, and Entra ID, allowing backup coverage to be tailored to organizational requirements.

Dashboard Redesign
- The redesigned dashboard delivers consistent, at-a-glance insights across the product, helping administrators quickly identify configuration gaps and backup-related issues.
- A new Advanced view provides a comprehensive overview of all workload types within a single interface.
- This view includes detailed workload statistics, configuration status, overall backup health and protection state, as well as individual health indicators for each workload type, including Mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, and Entra ID.
Overall Redesign of 365 Total Backup
- 365 Total Backup has been fully redesigned with a modern and user-friendly interface.
- The updated design improves user flow and interaction clarity across the entire product.
- Usability enhancements throughout the interface support a more intuitive and efficient administrative experience.
