Advanced Threat Protection from Hornetsecurity
We ensure your email security with URL rewriting
Due to the variety of potential attack vectors, a number of different defense mechanisms must be employed in order to ward off all the possible threats. For this reason, Hornetsecurity relies on the URL Rewriting feature, among others, to keep threats away from our customers’ IT infrastructure.
URL rewriting
Security for every click with URL rewriting. URL rewriting secures all Internet calls from e-mails via the web filter engine. When a user clicks on a link in an email, it is replaced by a secure URL that redirects the user via the Hornetsecurity web filter to the secured website. Any websites that are referred to from the target page are also secured by URL rewriting. This web filter analyzes the network traffic with the help of two antivirus engines, a database of domain categorizations and the ATP sandbox.
This prevents malicious code from being downloaded onto the computer unnoticed. Downloads from the web are also analyzed via the sandbox engine, which immediately stops the download if malware is detected.
Time of Click Analysis
“Time of Click Analysis” secures the user’s entire session from the link in the email– from the moment the user clicks on the link. Even if a cybercriminal places malicious content on the website several hours after the link was first clicked, the user is still protected.
