Hornetsecurity forms their next important partnership with api Computerhandels GmbH as the third distributor to further increase the penetration of the German IT retail market. The cooperation has strategic advantages for both sides: While Hornetsecurity is once again significantly increasing its presence in the German channel and at the same time gaining access to other European markets, api is expanding its portfolio of value-added services to include important security elements.

In the process of searching for an additional distributor, Hornetsecurity was convinced by api’s many years of expertise and the high range of distribution. Founded in 1994, the company with headquarters in Baesweiler and various national and international subsidiaries has been operating very successfully in the IT industry for over 25 years and provides services to more than 14,000 specialized and wholesale customers and system houses.

Api convinces as a full-range supplier with a highly automated logistical system, and at the same time focuses on the expansion of its value added services. Cloud Security Specialist verovert met de Benelux een nieuwe regio

Hannover, 10.07.2018 – Hornetsecurity bouwt haar marktpositie verder uit door uit te breiden naar de buurlanden Nederland, België en Luxemburg. De activiteiten in de Benelux maken deel uit van de internationale groeistrategie van de Cloud Security Provider. Nadat Hornetsecurity met de overname van de spamfilter klanten van Avira een uitstekende basis heeft gelegd in de regio, worden nu de verkoopactiviteiten verder uitgebouwd. Hornetsecurity heeft als Country Manager, Wilfred Schoonderbeek aangesteld, een ervaren sales professional die verantwoordelijk zal zijn voor de resultaten in de Benelux. Daarbij ligt met name de focus op het acquireren van nieuwe resellers en distributeurs.
Wilfred Schoonderbeek heeft ruime ervaring in de IT en IT-security, waar hij onder andere heeft gewerkt als Channel Manager en Product Manager bij Avira. “We zien veel potentieel in deze regio en willen nu verder groeien”, zegt Daniel Blank, Managing Director van Hornetsecurity. “We zijn daarom erg blij dat we Wilfred met zijn achtergrond en ervaring voor ons hebben gewonnen.”
