Cloud security specialist expands into Benelux region

Hannover, Germany, July 11, 2018 – Hornetsecurity today announced it is further strengthening its market position in neighbouring Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. This is in line with the cloud security provider’s international growth strategy and leverages the foothold gained in the Benelux region following the company’s recent acquisition of Avira’s spam filter customers.
As part of this expansion initiative Hornetsecurity has appointed Wilfred Schoonderbeek as Country Manager. Wilfred Schoonderbeek brings many years of experience in the IT channel and IT security industry, having previously worked as Channel Manager and Product Manager for Avira in the Netherlands. He is now responsible for the border triangle and its future growth with a particular focus on the acquisition of new partners and distributors.
“We see a lot of potential in this region and now wish to grow further in these neighbouring countries,” said Daniel Blank, Managing Director of Hornetsecurity. “We therefore appreciate Wilfred joining us and look forward to having the benefit of his valuable and proven expertise on board.”
“There is an enthusiastic, flexible and successful team behind Hornetsecurity and I am very happy to be part of it,” said Wilfred Schoonderbeek. “With Hornetsecurity, resellers can stand out and differentiate themselves. The wide range of features, the high quality of the proven solutions as well as their simple administration and application will enable our channel partners to more easily win new customers.”
He added: “We are looking for IT resellers in Benelux of any size who would like to expand their security portfolio and offer their customers significant added value for their email communication.”

Numerous advantages in cooperation for partners and distributors

In addition to attractive margins, Hornetsecurity offers its partners a variety of benefits through a coordinated partner program. Hornetsecurity also supports its partners in the sales process and on technical issues. Currently, Hornetsecurity is producing its marketing materials in Dutch including the website, product data sheets and flyers. The activities in the Benelux region are therefore embedded in a coherent overall strategy for the company’s future successful growth.
